Special Purpose Grants

These grants are made to nonprofit organizations doing work in a specific area of interest designated by the donors when they created their funds. Applications are open only to those nonprofits which fit the special purpose of the fund.

Southern Monterey County Foundation

To support nonprofit organizations that provide important community resources and services in Southern Monterey County communities (King City and south).

Fund for Homeless Women

To support programs and services for homeless women in Monterey County, especially those offering emergency or transitional housing.

Joel and Dena Gambord Charitable Foundation

By invitation only. To support the training and placement of service dogs for mobility, hearing and visual assistance, disease detection/alerting, search and rescue, and psychiatric service.

Douglas Madsen Fund for HIV/AIDS Housing

To provide housing for people living with HIV/AIDS, including expenses for residential facilities, respite or hospice care, and housing subsidies.

Tri-Counties Blood Bank

To provide reimbursement to organizations which supply blood and blood products to people who can't afford them, and for other related activities.
